Deadly threats to media freedom

The recent assassinations of journalists in Malta and Slovakia are the most shocking ways to silence free media. So is hijacking justice to wage ''strategic lawsuits against public participation,'' or SLAPP cases against reporters. EPP Group Members in the European Parliament's Special Committee on Disinformation - Sandra Kalniete and Vlado Bilcik - join Michał Szułdrzyński, Deputy Editor of the Polish daily "Rzeczpospolita" in a podcast with host Chris Burns, to call for more EU action to defend Europe's media freedom.
